Muckish Juniper

A view from the rock strewn side of Muckish Mountain, County Donegal, Ireland looking down towards the Muckish Gap and across to Errigal, wreathed in cloud. In the middle foreground is a tiny conifer hugging the thin soil. I think it is a prostrate form of a Juniper tree (Juniperus communis) a slow growing member of the Cypress family, but I would welcome a clear identification from a botanist.
