Donegal lane

Lane in Inishowen, County Donegal on farmland perched above Kinnoge Bay. The farmhouses in the distance would have shared the hill in common for grazing in the summer and for peat extraction. The fields running down to the valley below would have been used for growing crops such as potatoes and grain or root crops as winter fodder. The next stop across the Atlantic Ocean is North America.
